Calling all young anglers! The Kidz Fishin' Derby is back at Holland Lake (1419 Holland Lake Dr) on March 29th—and it's going to be a blast!
If you're 15 or under, come out for a morning of fishing, friendly competition, awesome prizes, and expert tips from the pros. Just bring your fishing poles—we’ve got the bait covered! This event is free!
SCHEDULE:
Registration: Starts at 7:30 AM and open during tournament
Tournament Hours: 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Awards: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. Each participant must be registered into the tournament to participate.
2. Each participant can only register in 1 age category.
3. All fish caught within the ages of 6-15 can only be reeled in and caught by that participant, if an adult is seen aiding a child within this age category the fish caught will not be valid.
4. Children within the fishing age bracket of 1-5 may be aided by an adult and not by another participant that is registered.
5. No one is allowed to cast before the 8:30am cast-off, if caught casting beforehand you will be disqualified.
6. No fish caught after the 11am end time will be valid for entry.
7. Fishing tournament times 8:30am-11am.
8. All participants must be present to win.
9. All state and local guidelines that pertain to fishing still apply during this even.
10. Adults, please remember that this is a youth tournament, and we ask that you refrain from fishing during the tournament time.
11. This is a family friendly event, and we ask that everyone behaves accordingly with the respect that this is a youth event, staff and organizers have the right to disqualify participants that are not following the rules set for the tournament.
